- Four lane separated highway between Rockhampton and Gracemere with a new eastbound carriageway,
- New two-lane bridge and local road improvements to surrounding areas,
- Various intersection upgrades including dedicated turn lanes, improve sight distance and line marking,
- Road capacity improvements including duplication of the rail overpass,
- Provisions for cycleway along the complete route,
- Pavement Improvements along with a new school bus facility and
- Duplication of existing 2 lane highway to four lanes.
- Project length of 5.2 km.
- Complex multi-grade tie-ins at both the Rockhampton and Gracemere ends.
- Multiple intersection upgrades and new local access roads.
- Underground service protection works utilities including gas and water.
