Key Highlights

The ESO team are enjoying picturesque views whilst working on the iconic Granite Island Causeway. The South Australian Government has committed $43 million towards this important project.

The original Causeway is an iconic landmark with considerable heritage value.  The only link between Granite Island and the mainland at Victor Harbor, the Causeway is a well-known tourist attraction with its historic Clydesdale Horse Drawn Tram.

The new Causeway is being constructed adjacent to the original structure and will be integrated with the retained portions of the existing Causeway at the mainland and island.

ESO were engaged to carry out survey services by McConnell Dowell in December 2020 and have had a team of three surveyors on the project.

The new Causeway will now potentially open in January 2022 (was late December 2021).
