ADAC/A-SPEC Data Done Right — First Time, Every Time

What is ADAC or A-SPEC?

ADAC (QLD) and A-SPEC (WA) stands for Asset Specification — a national standard used across Australia to capture and deliver “As Constructed” infrastructure asset data in a consistent, GIS-ready format. It covers a wide range of assets including roads, drainage, lighting, open space, and more.

By standardising how asset data is collected and shared, ADAC/A-SPEC helps councils and asset managers reduce errors, improve data quality, and streamline asset management.

Why ESO?

At ESO, we combine deep surveying expertise with ADAC and A-SPEC know-how to ensure your datasets are right the first time — meaning fewer revisions, reduced costs, and faster project delivery.

We proudly offer ADAC or A-SPEC services across Queensland (QLD) and Western Australia (WA), supporting councils and asset managers with reliable, compliant data that drives smarter decisions.

Our ADAC or A-SPEC Workflow

Here’s how we deliver accurate, compliant datasets — every time:

  1. Field Data Capture
Our experienced surveyors collect detailed asset data on-site using high-precision equipment.
  2. Client Checklist
We send a tailored checklist to confirm which ADAC/A-SPEC specification applies — Spec B (Open Space), D (Drainage), R (Roads), or O (Other Assets).
  3. Database Creation
Using 12d Model, we build the asset database and import it into QGIS, an open-source GIS platform.
  4. Data Analysis & Attribution
Each asset type is analysed and assigned multiple attributes — such as material, dimensions, condition, and installation details — in line with ADAC or A-SPEC standards.
  5. Review & Delivery
The dataset is coordinated, quality-checked, and sent to the asset owner for final review and acceptance.

What You Get:

  • Accurate, GIS-ready datasets
  • Reduced rework and project delays
  • Trusted by councils and asset managers nationwide

Whether you’re a long-time client or exploring ADAC or A-SPEC for the first time, ESO is here to help you get the most out of your data — and your investment.
